Administrative Assistant – Part Time

Position Available: Administrative Assistant – Part Time 

Job Status: Non-exempt / Part Time / 20 hours per week

Location: Central Office – 601 E. Fifth Street, Charlotte, NC 


Primary Function: Under direct supervision, provides day to day support in the Development area for the VP of Advancement.


Major Areas of Responsibility:

• Provide clerical and administrative support to the VP, Advancement and Development area

• Provide backup, as needed to Public Relations Director, engaging social media content on various media platforms, to include
   Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts

• Provide general addministrative support handling correspondence, e-mail, update records, prepare documents and maintain
   relationships with partners and/or donors

• Assist VP, Advancement with special projects/tasks as needed

• Coordinate and maintain Outlook calendar for VP, Advancement

• Attend staff and team meetings, providing logistical assistance, as needed

• Answer incoming calls responding to requests for information or questions


Job Requirements:

• High School diploma required, Associate’s Degree in Office Administration, Office Systems Technology or related field preferred

• Minimum of 2 years work experience in like position or equivalent educational training required

• Strong writing/editing skills proficient in social media platforms, to include Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram

• Proficient using Microsoft Office programs, to inlude Word, Power Point, Outlook, Excel, and Publisher

• Requires excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

• High-level skill in organization, possessing the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines

• Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills
