WSOC-TV News Story on 'Shadow Pandemic'

Local news channel WSOC-TV Channel 9 aired a story on December 6, 2021 about the devastating impact of what is being called the “shadow pandemic” – the impact and ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on students’ education and their mental health. Interviews in the story include Men Tchaas Ari, CIS-Charlotte President and CEO, and Anna Kennington, CIS-Charlotte Director of Program Operations for Youth Development-High School. Also featured is Kierra Gregory, a 2020 graduate of our Safe Journey program.
