For 27 years, Charlotte has shown up, using the power of a shared meal to support brighter futures for students. On Tuesday, June 16, join Communities In Schools and a standout lineup of local restaurants for Dine Out For Kids®—a citywide day of dining with purpose.
When you dine in or grab takeout from a participating restaurant, a portion of your purchase directly supports students across Charlotte-Mecklenburg, helping them stay engaged, stay in school, and realize their full potential.
Why It Matters
Today, more than half of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools are Title I, meaning many students are navigating economic challenges that can impact their ability to show up and succeed.
Barriers like housing instability, transportation gaps, and limited access to basic needs continue to drive higher rates of chronic absenteeism.
Communities In Schools is embedded inside schools, connecting students to the relationships, resources, and support systems they need to thrive, both in and beyond the classroom.
