When you dine in or take out from a participating restaurant on June 17, a portion of your purchase helps more than 5,500 students across 55 CMS schools stay engaged, stay in school, and unlock their full potential.
Why It Matters
More than half of CMS schools are now Title I, meaning the majority of their students live near or below the poverty line. Barriers like housing instability, transportation, and lack of access to basic needs contribute to a chronic absenteeism rate that’s still higher than pre-pandemic levels—especially among students facing economic disadvantage.
Communities In Schools meets students where they are, placing trained staff directly inside schools to build trusted relationships, remove barriers, and open doors to opportunity.
