A Network That Grows With You:
Strikes, Smiles, and Stronger Connections: DifferenceMakers™ CLT Alumni Social
In December, we had the joy of bringing our DifferenceMakers™ CLT alumni community together at Dave & Buster’s for a holiday social filled with connection, laughter, and a little friendly competition. More than a seasonal celebration, the evening created intentional space for students and alumni to strengthen relationships, expand their networks, and continue building the social capital that supports them as they move through the next chapters of their lives and careers. Alumni, current students, and community members bowled side by side, shared stories, and enjoyed arcade games while celebrating the season together.
We were especially excited to welcome representation from eight different DifferenceMakers™ CLT cohorts, including many alumni who are currently in college and home on winter break. Watching them reconnect, reflect on their journeys, and openly share their college and career experiences with younger students highlighted the power of peer mentorship and the importance of staying connected beyond graduation.
Throughout the night, conversations flowed between alumni, current students, and community partners. Whether cheering one another on during bowling, teaming up for arcade games, or exchanging advice and opportunities, the energy in the room reflected a growing alumni network rooted in trust, shared experiences, and mutual support.
Events like this remind us that DifferenceMakers™ CLT is more than a program, it is a lifelong community. By intentionally creating spaces for alumni engagement, networking, and relationship-building, we are expanding access to opportunity and ensuring students remain supported well beyond high school. We are deeply grateful to everyone who showed up, stayed engaged, and continues to invest in one another’s success.
