Volunteer Spotlight

Earleen Mobley
Shamrock Gardens Elementary 

Earleen Mobley has been volunteering at Shamrock Gardens Elementary School for five years. She has been a Reading Buddy and tutored several children over the years, and currently is a Reading Buddy to Treazure, who's in second grade. Ms. Mobley also volunteers in the school library before the students arrive.

I don't have any children of my own, so I enjoy meeting the children here," says Mobley. "The children are wonderful, and they truly reinforce my belief in the next generation."

Ms. Mobley is also grateful to her employer, Bank of America, because the bank gives its employees time to volunteer. In fact, when an employee has reached 50 volunteer hours in one year, the bank makes a $250 donation to the organization where the employee has been volunteering. Ms. Mobley says she met that goal last year at Shamrock and will again this year, and is looking forward to giving the donation to Communities In Schools. CIS and Shamrock Gardens are lucky to have such a dedicated volunteer in Earleen Mobley!
