The Project L.I.F.T. Team of Communities In Schools held its second "Future Lions Day" at West Charlotte High School yesterday. More than 100 8th grade students from West Charlotte's feeder zone middle schools were treated to a special day on the West Charlotte campus, giving them a taste of high school life and all that West Charlotte High School has to offer. The marching band, cheerleaders, and JROTC squad performed; then students toured the campus and classrooms in small groups led by WCHS students. The day wrapped up with lunch and a "rap session" where the rising 9th graders could ask questions and talk informally with the high school students.
